About this scholarship
Students enrolled in or entering an ALA-accredited library school program who intend to pursue health sciences librarianship may apply through one MLA student scholarship portal. A single application covers the Ana D. Cleveland, Gwendolyn S. Cruzat, and Beverly Murphy scholarships for underrepresented students.
Student scholarships provide up to $2,500 each, funded from MLA endowment revenues; the number of awards depends on annual funding.
Most grants and scholarships open September 11 with a December 2 deadline. MLA membership is required for most awards. Recipients are announced in spring.
MLA has supported health sciences library students for more than sixty years through its scholarship endowment funds.
