Medical Student Travel Award

Domestic ACS member medical students in years 1 through 3 may apply for travel support to attend Clinical Congress. Applicants must be current ACS members at the time of application.

The awardee receives $2,000 to cover flight, hotel, and reasonable travel expenses for Clinical Congress, with receipts submitted within 45 days after the meeting.

Applications close March 23 at 11:59 p.m. CT each cycle. Required materials include a 300-word essay on interest in surgery and how the applicant will use the meeting to meet mentors.

The American College of Surgeons Division of Member Services runs this recurring award to expose early medical students to surgery and the ACS mission.
