Medical Student Rotation for Underrepresented Populations (MSR)

U.S. MD or DO medical students from populations underrepresented in medicine who are ASCO members may apply for a minimum four-week clinical or clinical research oncology rotation with a preselected mentor. U.S. citizenship, nationality, or permanent residency is required.

Awardees receive a $5,000 rotation stipend plus $1,500 travel support to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting after completing the rotation. An additional $2,000 supports the mentor.

Applications are submitted through the ASCO SurveyMonkey Apply portal, typically opening in late October with a late-January deadline each cycle.
