About this scholarship

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students who identify as American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian and are interested in public health may apply. Recipients must attend the APHA Annual Meeting in person (2026 meeting November 1-4, San Antonio, Texas).

The package covers round-trip airfare, hotel (possible roommate), APHA meeting registration, one-year APHA membership, one-year AIANNH Caucus membership, and a meals stipend (about $2,000 total per scholar).

Apply through the AIANNH Caucus scholarship page by April 30 each year before the fall APHA meeting; the 2026 cycle closed April 30, 2026.

Named for Margo D. Kerrigan, founder of the AIANNH Caucus and first American Indian APHA Executive Board member.
