LaVern and Nola McEntire Memorial Lineworker's Scholarship

Students pursuing a lineworker career through the AIEC/Lincoln Land Community College lineworker program in Springfield, Illinois may apply. Eligible applicants include children of Illinois electric cooperative members, relatives of cooperative employees or directors, and individuals who have served or are serving in the armed forces or National Guard.

One annual scholarship of $3,000 helps cover costs of attending the lineworker's school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives.

Apply through the Rural Electric Convenience Cooperative scholarship page with a deadline of April 30 each year. General IEC Memorial Scholarships have a separate December 31 deadline.

The LaVern and Nola McEntire Memorial Scholarship is part of the Illinois Electric Cooperatives Memorial Scholarship Program administered through AIEC.
