Jerold S. Solovy Diversity Scholarship

Law students in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, or Iowa who advocate for diversity in the legal profession may apply through the Diversity Scholarship Foundation. Applicants must have completed at least two semesters of law school and submit an article on diversity within the legal community while maintaining a 3.8 GPA (waivable for exceptional advocates).

The Jerold S. Solovy Diversity Scholarship recognizes pro bono and diversity leadership in the Midwest legal community.

Applications typically open in fall with an October deadline. The page still listed the prior cycle when checked in July 2026; the next fall cycle is expected.

The Diversity Scholarship Foundation, based in Chicago, funds this award through its Unity Gala fundraiser.
