Harvey M. Pollicove Memorial Scholarship

Optica Student Members pursuing precision optics manufacturing or lens design at a US university may apply. Applicants must intend to work in the optics manufacturing industry after graduation.

One recipient receives $4,000. The 2025 scholar was at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The application window runs from September 1 through October 9 each year. Required materials include a one-page application letter, CV, unofficial transcript, and one reference letter.

The scholarship honors Harvey Pollicove, co-founder of the Center for Optics Manufacturing at the University of Rochester.
