Eligibility
About this scholarship
U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in an ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. program (or qualifying baccalaureate pharmacy program) may apply for a faculty-mentored research scholarship. Joint Pharm.D./Ph.D. students are ineligible. Each school may submit up to two applications.
Awardees receive a $5,000 stipend distributed in June for research-related expenses during a project term from June 1 through August 31 of the following year.
Applications open in November and close in late January each cycle through SmarterSelect. Materials include faculty mentor recommendation, second faculty recommendation, and official transcript.
AFPE funds this recurring program to expose pharmacy students to pharmaceutical sciences research and clinical skill development.
