Future Leader Initial NCTM Annual Meeting Attendance Award

Full-time PK-12 classroom mathematics teachers who have never attended an NCTM Annual Meeting may apply. Secondary teachers must teach math at least 50% of their schedule; applicants need a bachelor's degree and must teach during the application year and the following school year.

Awardees receive NCTM Annual Meeting registration plus up to $1,500 for travel, subsistence, and substitute-teacher costs.

MET applications are due May 1; awardees are notified by early July. Current Essential or Premium NCTM membership is required.

Supported by the Edwin I. Stein Fund, the award helps first-time attendees build leadership in mathematics education.
