Eligibility
About this scholarship
US citizens and permanent residents (not French citizens) with demonstrated financial need may apply for need-based support while pursuing a master's at a French public university or selected partner institutions such as ENS Lyon and EHESS.
Selected scholars receive a full waiver of national public-university registration fees for the master's period, full health and supplementary insurance, BGF (French government scholar) status, cultural activities, and Campus France administrative support in Paris. Travel and living costs remain the student's responsibility.
Apply through the Campus France USA online form during the annual spring campaign once admitted or applying to an eligible master's program. The 2025-26 round is closed; the next cycle is expected in spring 2027.
The Embassy of France and Campus France USA coordinate the program to expand access to French graduate study for high-potential US students.
