About this scholarship
International students up to age 29 for master's and 35 for PhD, including North American applicants, may be nominated by a French higher education institution for master's, engineering, or joint doctoral programs in priority fields. Students cannot apply directly to Campus France; the admitting French university must endorse and submit the nomination.
Master's nominees receive €1,200 per month from January 2026, plus covered international travel, domestic travel, insurance, and cultural services. Doctoral nominees receive higher monthly support for the funded period.
Prospective students apply for admission to a French institution, then ask the institution to nominate them by the annual early-January Campus France deadline (January 8 for the 2026 session). Results publish from late March.
Campus France administers the Eiffel program on behalf of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
