About this scholarship
Colorado individuals, nonprofits, government agencies, and tribal governments may apply for $3,000 project grants supporting folk and traditional arts. Individual artists can fund creation, presentation, or teaching of folk/traditional work, or documentation through oral histories, archives, or multimedia.
No matching funds are required. Projects should reflect community cultural practices and be completed by June 30, 2027.
The 2026 application period ran January 27 through April 14, 2026 via the OEDIT grant portal. Awards are announced in July 2026.
Colorado Creative Industries, part of the Office of Economic Development, administers this grant to preserve the state's cultural heritage.
