About this scholarship
Second- or third-year law students enrolled at a Florida law school who demonstrate academic excellence and interest in labor and employment law may apply. The section awards multiple $2,500 scholarships annually (eight recipients in 2025).
Applicants are evaluated on labor and employment coursework, professional experience, internships, law school activities, and pro bono service. Each recipient also receives a recognition certificate.
Applications are submitted directly to the section's Law School Outreach Subcommittee, which coordinates with Florida law schools each spring. The award succeeded the former Dean Gary Vause Labor and Employment Law Award.
The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section promotes the field through scholarships, outreach, and professional development for Florida law students.
