Family Medicine Leads Emerging Leader Institute Scholarship

AAFP member medical students in MS2 through MS4 or family medicine residents in PGY1 or PGY2 may apply for the Emerging Leader Institute scholarship. The program develops future family medicine leaders.

Recipients receive a $1,000 scholarship covering attendance at the Family Medicine Leads Emerging Leader Institute and the FUTURE conference (July 30 through August 1, 2026).

Applications close May 1 at 11:59 p.m. CT each cycle. Required materials include essay responses and a signed institutional verification letter on letterhead.

The AAFP Foundation funds this recurring scholarship through donations from family physicians nationwide.
