Ernst Mach Grant worldwide

Young researchers from all countries except Austria, including the US and Canada, may conduct research at Austrian universities and research institutions for 1 to 9 months. Target groups include postdocs, doctoral students, and postgraduates under age 35 in sciences, humanities, arts, and related fields.

The grant pays €1,300 per month plus assistance arranging accommodation and health insurance. Research stays must fall within the funded academic year window specified in each call.

Apply online through scholarships.at between October and February 1 for the following academic year. A confirmed Austrian host supervisor is required before submission.

The OeAD administers Ernst Mach grants on behalf of Austria's Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.
