About this scholarship
Medical students or emergency medicine residency programs sponsoring a medical student may apply for stipends supporting emergency medicine research. Up to four grants of up to $5,000 each are awarded per cycle.
Award period runs July 2026 through June 2027. Grants encourage medical students to engage in and be exposed to emergency medicine research.
Applications close December 12 at 5 p.m. CT each cycle through the EMF grant portal. Detailed eligibility and instructions are on the EMF website linked from SAEM.
The Emergency Medicine Foundation and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine jointly fund this recurring medical student research grant.
