About this scholarship
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled full time at a U.S. college or university who are students of color and pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism may apply. Applicants must be in good standing when the scholarship is awarded.
The recipient receives $10,000 plus travel and lodging to attend the RTDNA Foundation First Amendment Awards and professional development day in Washington, D.C.
One online application opens September 9 and is due October 22 each year; applicants choose one RTDNA Foundation scholarship or fellowship and submit work samples, cover letter, resume, and a faculty recommendation.
Ed Bradley established this award in 1994; the RTDNA Foundation has administered student journalism scholarships since 1970.
