Eligibility
About this scholarship
Specialist-level school psychology graduate students enrolled in NASP-approved or regionally accredited programs may apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, NASP members in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need (FAFSA Student Aid Index of 30,000 or below) or first-generation college status. Doctoral students and applicants who have not yet started their program are ineligible.
Selected scholars receive $5,000 distributed over two terms beginning Fall 2026, plus a complimentary one-year NASP membership, convention registration, professional recognition, and travel reimbursement to the NASP Annual Convention.
Submit an online application, personal statement, resume, two recommendations, FAFSA Submission Summary, and official transcripts by April 30 each year. The 2026-27 cycle is closed; recipients are notified by June.
NASP established this program (formerly the Minority Scholarship Program) to support diverse students entering school psychology practice.
