David S. Miller Young Scientist Scholarship

Graduate students in geo-environmental sciences or geo-environmental engineering may apply for this AGU Honors scholarship. One award is made each year to a student who demonstrates ability to leverage scientific education to benefit society.

The recipient receives a $2,000 scholarship and an award certificate. Travel to the AGU Annual Meeting is not included; recipients may apply separately for a travel grant.

Applications open in early January and close in mid-March through the AGU Honors portal. A personal statement on research merit, originality, and career potential in geo-environmental fields is required.

The scholarship honors David S. Miller and is administered through AGU's student honors program.
