Daoma and Murray Strasberg Scholarship in Ocean Acoustics

Doctoral students enrolled at a U.S. college or university may apply for graduate study in ocean acoustics or related physical, marine structural, or signal-processing fields with relevance to naval applications.

One scholarship of $10,000 is awarded each year. The program launched in 2023 and has named recipients through 2025.

ASA posts an annual application form on its fellowships page. Applicants apply directly to the Acoustical Society Foundation Fund program.

The award honors Daoma and Murray Strasberg through a bequest to ASA supporting graduate research in ocean acoustics.
