Carol Van Scoyoc Scholarship

Law students enrolled at a New York State law school who exemplify academic excellence, public service, and interest in local government law may apply. The scholarship honors Carol Van Scoyoc, former chair of the NYSBA Local and State Government Law Section.

One $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually through The New York Bar Foundation to a student demonstrating commitment to public service and local government law careers.

Applications are submitted via The New York Bar Foundation online scholarship portal during the annual spring cycle. NYSBA promotes the award among active law student scholarship opportunities.

The New York Bar Foundation partners with NYSBA sections to fund experiential scholarships for New York law students.
