About this scholarship

Law students of Cuban heritage who have distinguished themselves academically or in service, or any law student who has contributed to the Cuban-American community through research, writing, or community work, may apply nationwide. Applicants must be currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited U.S. law school.

CABA Foundation pays scholarship funds directly to recipients; award amounts depend on available funds (historically $2,500 to $3,500). Selection weighs academic accomplishments, community service, references, personal essay, and financial need.

Complete typed applications and supporting documents are due May 1 annually; recipients are notified in June and honored at a scholarship reception.

The Cuban American Bar Association Foundation supports law students connected to the Cuban-American legal community.
