About this scholarship
Undergraduate journalism or communication students at U.S. colleges may apply, with priority for those pursuing broadcast journalism or video-forward storytelling including documentaries and digital platforms.
The recipient receives $2,500 plus an invitation to Washington, D.C. for the RTDNA Foundation First Amendment Awards with travel support.
Applications open September 9 and are due October 22 annually through the RTDNA Foundation online portal; only one RTDNA scholarship or fellowship may be selected per applicant.
Bob Horner, a longtime CBS and NBC news executive, established this scholarship in 2020 through the RTDNA Foundation.
