About this scholarship
US citizens applying for the first time to the University of Oslo International Summer School may compete for this North American office scholarship. Norwegian language students are ineligible; they may instead be considered for the ISS Partial Scholarship.
Five awards of $4,650 each cover the basic on-campus ISS fee including room, board, and course fee. Airfare and personal expenses are excluded. Priority goes to applicants who have never traveled, lived, or studied abroad.
Email a one-page essay on travel experience, study background, and financial need to iss@stolaf.edu by 10 March. Awardees must stay in ISS accommodations and submit a reflective essay by 1 September after the session.
