AWS District Scholarships

Students enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary welding educational or training program may apply. Applicants must reside in and attend school within one of AWS's 22 District boundaries, covering the continental United States and portions of Canada and Mexico.

Each district has a $15,000 award pool with scholarships of at least $1,000. Funds are sent directly to the educational institution for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment and may be redeemed within one year of award.

Apply online at scholarship.aws.org. Applications open December 1 and close March 1 for fall-term funding. The portal requires a personal statement essay, cost-of-attendance summary, transcript, optional recommendations, and a headshot.

AWS Foundation District Scholarships are administered by local district committees separate from the national and section scholarship pools on the same portal.
