About this scholarship
U.S. military veterans (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, or Space Force) who are honorably discharged or active duty for training in good standing may apply. Must be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-year student in good standing at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school and a U.S. citizen with university leadership involvement.
Two scholarships of $5,000 are awarded annually.
Apply September 1 through September 30 each year via AVMF; 2026 dates confirmed on the AVMF scholarships table.
Established by AVMA and AVMF honoring the centennial of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps.
