ASM Materials Education Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

Undergraduate students in North America who have completed at least one year of college and are majoring in metallurgy, materials science and engineering, or a closely related field may apply. ASM International or Material Advantage student membership is required.

Up to 20 annual awards range from about $1,500 to $10,000 depending on the named scholarship. Most awards consider financial need in addition to academic merit; the Outstanding Scholar award is merit-based only.

Apply online through the ASM Foundation portal and email supporting documents by February 28. Winners are notified by May 31. Students may reapply in later years but may not receive more than two consecutive awards.

The ASM Materials Education Foundation has awarded more than $2.7 million in scholarships since 1953 to support materials science and engineering students.
