Eligibility
About this scholarship
Full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree related to HVAC&R may apply through one ASHRAE Society portal. Applicants need at least a 3.0 GPA or top 30% class standing at an ABET-accredited program, Washington Accord signatory school, Sydney Accord signatory school, or campus with an active ASHRAE Student Branch. International students at qualifying institutions may apply; US applicants are eligible.
Named one-year awards range from $3,000 to $10,000, with select Reuben Trane awards paid $5,000 per year over two years. Society scholarships totaled $218,500 across 40 awards for 2025-26.
Submit one application by April 1 for the following fall semester. Required materials include an official transcript and three signed recommendation letters.
