About this scholarship
Graduate students, medical students, and residents up to PGY-3 at North American institutions may apply if they are first or presenting authors on an AGA-accepted DDW abstract. High school and undergraduate students are ineligible.
Most recipients receive $500 travel awards; the top-scoring abstract is named Student Abstract of the Year and receives $1,000. Up to 19 awards are granted per cycle.
Applications open in mid-November and close February 18 through the AGA Grants Management System. An AGA member sponsor in good standing is required.
The AGA Research Foundation funds this recurring award to stimulate interest in gastroenterology and hepatology research careers.
