About this scholarship
High school seniors planning to pursue actuarial science or related mathematics careers may apply through the Actuarial Foundation's Submittable portal. The STEM Stars Actuarial Scholars Program targets students entering college who intend to become actuaries.
Recipients receive $20,000 total ($5,000 per year for four years) plus a mentoring component connecting scholars with actuarial professionals. Winners are announced in summer.
Applications for 2026-27 closed February 27, 2026. Apply by creating a Submittable account, reviewing published requirements, and completing the online application.
The Actuarial Foundation is the U.S. actuarial profession's philanthropy, supported by the Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society since 2004.
