About this scholarship
UNA members pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees at accredited U.S. or Canadian colleges and universities may apply. Applicants must have been active premium-paying UNA members for at least two years by June 1 and hold a non-term life insurance policy valued at a minimum of $5,000 for the prior two years.
Eight $1,000 Heritage Scholarships are awarded annually based on academic achievement, community and college activity, awards, honors, and a 400-500 word essay. Scholarships are granted for one academic year; renewal requires a new application.
Applications must be postmarked by June 1 annually. Essay topics focus on Ukrainian heritage and the UNA's community role.
