Skills Ontario Gail Smyth Scholarship

High school students graduating in spring, summer, or fall 2026 who earned a bronze, silver, or gold medal at the 2026 Skills Ontario provincial competition may apply. Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship, landed immigrant status, or Ontario residency and plan post-secondary education as an apprentice or at an Ontario institution in skilled trades and technologies.

Nine scholarships of $1,000 each support students pursuing skilled trades and technology careers.

Mail completed application with two teacher reference letters and proof of volunteer work or community service postmarked no later than August 4, 2026 to Gael Loro at Skills Ontario.

Named for retired Skills Ontario executive director Gail Smyth, the scholarship honors her decades of leadership growing Ontario's largest skilled trades competition.
