Project Grant Program — Individuals and Collectives

Professional individual artists, artist collectives, and cultural workers in any discipline who are Calgary-based may apply. Calgary-based means primarily living and working in Calgary at least six months per year with a meaningful relationship to the city's arts community.

Individual artists may request up to $20,000 for one-time projects including creation, production, professional development, research, or public presentation. Total program funding is $3.1 million.

The 2026 application deadline was May 13 at 4:30 pm MT. Results are notified mid-September 2026. Canadian citizenship is not required but grantees must report to the CRA.

Calgary Arts Development (CADA) is the City of Calgary's designated arts development and municipal granting organization.
