About this scholarship
Canadian law graduates who earned a three- or four-year law degree from a Canadian faculty of law within four years before starting at Cambridge may apply for the LLM. Two awards are offered annually in partnership with the Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies (CIALS).
Scholarships cover international tuition, maintenance, the immigration health surcharge, visa costs, and one return airfare, subject to coordination with other awards.
A separate CIALS application with personal statement is required in addition to the Cambridge LLM admission application. CIALS selects recipients; Cambridge Trust administers the funding once candidates are nominated.
Named for Paul Martin Sr., founder of CIALS, to support Canadian lawyers studying at the University of Cambridge.
