About this scholarship

Canadian law graduates who earned a bachelor's or master's law degree from a Canadian university within the prior four years may apply. The scholarship supports graduate legal studies conducted in French at a university outside Canada, or a one-year joint doctoral research stay abroad.

The award covers tuition at the foreign institution plus a portion of living and travel costs, up to CAD $20,000 for 2026-2027.

Applications are due December 31 each year by mail or email to the Institute. The 2026-2027 deadline had passed when checked in July 2026.

The Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies administers this scholarship honoring Quebec civil law scholar Paul-André Crépeau.
