Ontario College of Teachers Scholarship Program

Teacher candidates in Ontario consecutive or concurrent teacher education programs who will graduate in 2027 may apply for up to two of four named $1,500 scholarships through one online portal. Awards include the Joseph W. Atkinson Scholarship, Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate Scholarship, Intermediate/Senior Scholarship, and Brian P. McGowan Scholarship for Resilience.

Each scholarship pays $1,500 directly to the recipient. The selection committee awards only one scholarship per candidate even if multiple are applied for.

The online application accepts supporting documents and closes June 30 at 5 p.m. each year. The 2026 application period was open through June 30, 2026.
