About this scholarship
Open to Ontario medical students conducting research dedicated to medical education. Projects may cover undergraduate medicine, postgraduate medicine, continuing professional development, or related learner-focused studies evaluated for impact on medical education. Group applications are accepted with a maximum of two student leads per project.
Grants are $5,000 per award, paid directly to the student. Funds may be used at the awardee's discretion and are not required to fund the research project. The Spring 2026 cycle offers grants through an Open Stream and an AMS Compassionate Care Stream, sponsored by TD Bank, AMS Healthcare, and OMA Insurance.
Applications are accepted annually in winter for spring awards. The 2026 call lists a January application deadline (the page shows a year typo of 2025). Submit the official .docx application form by email to omsa.mserg@gmail.com.
