About this scholarship

Professional New Brunswick artists who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have First Nation affiliation on Turtle Island, with at least 12 months of NB residency, may apply for creation funding. Early-career artists with up to five years of professional activity may receive up to $12,000; artists with more than five years may receive up to $20,000.

Grants support research, development, and execution of original artistic projects across disciplines. Equipment purchases became eligible under 2025 program updates. Category selection is determined by an experience checklist in the online system.

Deadlines are April 1 and October 1 at 11:59 p.m. through the artsnb online application system. The April 2026 deadline passed when checked in July 2026; the next intake is October 1, 2026.

artsnb is New Brunswick's provincial arts funding agency supporting professional artists through peer-assessed creation grants.
