Media Artists Creation Projects — Emerging

Ontario resident emerging media artists who have completed at least one independent media work and are not enrolled in a formal media arts education program may apply. Secondary and undergraduate students are ineligible. Graduate students may only apply in the mid-career and established category with a department letter.

Emerging applicants may request up to $10,000 (project budgets may reach $125,000) toward creation of film, video, audio, or new-media works.

Deadlines are March 17 and October 8 each year at 1 p.m. ET via Nova. Results arrive about four and a half months after each deadline.

The Ontario Arts Council supports independent media artists creating new time-based and digital work through this recurring project grant.
