About this scholarship
Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in engineering, geology, or geophysics programs at Alberta universities may apply for the Ivan Finlay Leadership Award. Graduate applicants must be APEGA members-in-training or applicants.
Up to 10 recipients each receive $1,250 toward education costs. Selection focuses on leadership within the past two years in campus, community, or professional volunteer roles.
Applications open in fall and close February 2. Submissions require an application form, proof of Alberta enrolment, and at least two professional reference letters dated within 12 months.
The award honors Ivan Finlay, APEGA's first full-time registrar, and recognizes emerging engineering and geoscience leaders in Alberta.
