About this scholarship
Canadian citizens may apply for master's, PhD, or research fellowships at Italian universities through the Study in Italy portal. Canada remains on the eligible-country list for the 2026-27 cycle even though the United States is not listed for that year.
Grants provide €10,800 paid over nine months plus exemption from university tuition and enrollment fees at the host institution. Research and Italian language courses may also be funded depending on the call category.
Register on studyinitaly.esteri.it and complete the online call for applications, typically due by late March for the following academic year. Supporting documents include academic transcripts, language certification, and a study or research proposal.
