Investintech-CAJ Data Journalism Scholarship

Students enrolled in or accepted to a Canadian college or university journalism program (or non-journalism students with demonstrated journalism experience) may apply. Applicants must show data journalism skills through a submitted work sample with at least one student-produced data visualization.

One winner receives $1,000 CAD, a free one-year CAJ membership, and a CAJ National Conference pass. Previous winners are ineligible.

Submit online with a data journalism work sample and 500+ word explanation of methods. The page still displayed 2024-25 cycle dates when checked, but states a sixth annual contest is forthcoming; historical annual deadline is April 11.
