Independent Artists — Emerging Creation

Emerging or established professional artists who are Saskatchewan residents and Canadian citizens or permanent residents may apply to the Independent Artists program. Emerging artists are those who have moved beyond training into recognized independent practice.

Emerging creation grants provide up to $7,500 for creative, professional development, or research projects and production or presentation of artistic works.

Deadlines are March 15 and October 1 each year. The portal opens eight to twelve weeks before each deadline and projects may begin after submission.

SK Arts, the provincial arts funding agency, supports Saskatchewan artists pursuing independent creative careers.
