Hilltop Awards and Bursaries

Students living in the greater Edmonton area or northern Alberta (north of Red Deer) who have resided there at least six months may apply. Applicants need demonstrated community involvement with responsibilities and financial need, and must pursue post-secondary study in Alberta or elsewhere in Canada (out-of-province study requires justification). Programs from academic upgrading through doctoral and professional degrees qualify.

Roughly 150 students receive awards of $1,000 to $6,000 annually from endowed funds at Edmonton Community Foundation.

Applications open March 15 and close May 15 at 4:30 PM; decisions released in early July. Online application with one to two reference letters and statement of grades (unofficial acceptable).
