Glenn Kimmett Memorial Scholarship

Children of current Ironworkers Local 721 members entering their first year at an accredited Ontario college or university may apply. Selection weighs academics, written presentation, leadership, volunteer experience, and athletics across five criteria.

Three scholarships are awarded at $1,000, $3,000, and $5,000, deposited to the registrar of the recipient's chosen institution.

Applications accepted starting April 10, 2026 and due by 3:30 PM on July 24, 2026 at Local 721's Etobicoke office or by email to Lbarros@iw721.org. Decisions announced at the August 19, 2026 membership meeting.

The scholarship honors Glenn Kimmett, a 40-year Ironworkers Local 721 member, officer, and training centre volunteer.
