About this scholarship
Individuals who identify as Black and are entering their first year as full-time students in a publicly funded Ontario faculty of education may apply. ETFO membership is not required. The bursary does not support master's or doctoral programs.
One bursary of $12,838 plus a certificate of recognition is awarded annually.
Applications open January 1 and close April 30 each year through ETFO's online awards portal.
ETFO offers this bursary to support Black educators entering Ontario's publicly funded teacher education system.
