About this scholarship

Full-time graduate students may apply for a $4,000 scholarship supporting research in partnership with one or more Indigenous and/or non-Indigenous BC communities addressing air quality, environmental health, or environmental sustainability through cooperative initiatives. Applicants must be enrolled at least one semester before award disbursement and propose projects with defined objectives and tangible community benefits.

One $4,000 BC-based scholarship is offered annually; preference for innovative projects with direct community engagement and demonstrated community support.

Online applications due June 15, 2026 (deadline extended in 2026); undergraduate and graduate transcripts plus two reference letters required. Successful candidate notified by July 31.

Vancouver Foundation holds the endowment; the Fraser Basin Council's Elizabeth Henry Scholarship Committee selects recipients in memory of Elizabeth Henry.
