About this scholarship
Early Arts Practitioners who are B.C. residents and have completed basic training but are transitioning into professional practice may apply. Two components are available: Residency (learning-focused residency with an arts organization) and Mentorship (one-on-one learning with an established practitioner). The program does not fund new artwork creation.
Maximum grant request is $30,000. Activities must run at least eight weeks and up to one year.
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on July 8, 2026, with registration closing July 2, 2026. The page showed the 2026 intake closed in July 2026.
The BC Arts Council administers this program to help early-career arts practitioners build skills through structured learning experiences rather than production grants.
