Doctors Nova Scotia Medical Student Bursary

Nova Scotia residents enrolled at Dalhousie Medical School (Halifax or Sydney) or francophone Nova Scotia students at Université de Sherbrooke or CFMNB may apply each year of medical school. Requires Doctors Nova Scotia and Canadian Medical Association membership, health-related volunteer work, CRA-defined NS residency, and consent to share financial information.

Each bursary is $5,000 per year; multiple students are selected based on need, community involvement, and dedication to medicine.

Applications for 2026-27 open September 2026 and require a 300-word letter plus a volunteer organization reference.
