CSI Research Foundation PhD Scholarships

Full-time doctoral students at Canadian universities with an approved dissertation proposal on research relevant to Canadian capital markets may apply. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, or hold a valid student visa. Students may apply for one scholarship over two consecutive terms (renewable once for a second year).

Successful applicants receive $35,000 per year toward completion of the approved dissertation. The first 50% payment goes to the university after September notification.

The next application deadline is June 11, 2026. Submit through the CSIRF application portal with an approved dissertation proposal that cannot be amended after the award.
